Giving Back Through Care: A Heartwarming Alumni Visit in Ipoh.
“As TARCians, we were given a head start in life by the college. After our journey in the workforce, I believe it is equally important to give back to the community. This centre is my small way of doing so.” - Dr Janice Chan, Founder of Pusat Jagaan Warga Tua Rebina, Ipoh
On 16 April 2026, the DAR team had the privilege of visiting Pusat Jagaan Warga Tua Rebina in Ipoh, founded by our fellow TARCian, Dr Janice Chan (School of Business Studies, Class of 1985).
What began as a daughter’s loving commitment to care for her ageing parents has gently grown into a place of comfort, dignity, and support for many other elderly individuals and their families. Guided by compassion, Janice has created more than a care centre, she has built a home filled with compassion, dignity, and love.
Her journey is a beautiful reflection of the TARCian spirit, a pure heart of gold that continues to care, give, and uplift others. It reminds us that beyond success and achievements, the greatest impact lies in the lives we touch.
If you happen to be in Ipoh, do consider supporting her centre and the meaningful care they provide for the elderly.
It is truly heartwarming to see our alumni continue to give back in such quiet yet meaningful ways.
