The DAR team was delighted to reconnect with Harry Tien, a proud TAR UMT alumnus, during our visit to RS Wines and Spirits.

With years of experience in the wine and spirits industry, Harry shared that building expertise in this field goes beyond knowing the products. It requires constantly training one’s senses — learning to recognise different aromas, flavours, and subtle characteristics through taste and smell.

For Harry, experience is something to be embraced. His belief that “the older the age, the better the life” reflects not only his appreciation for fine wines, but also the value he places on growing through experience and continuous learning.

Our connection with Harry has also grown beyond the alumni visit, with RS Wines and Spirits collaborating with DAR for our Alumni Networking Event, creating another opportunity to bring alumni and industry professionals together.
