Date: 2 Oct 2025
On 2 October 2025, TAR UMT warmly welcomed back alumni from the first Diploma in Architecture cohort (SOT Class of 1972–1975) as they returned to campus to celebrate their 50th class reunion. The gathering marked a meaningful milestone, bringing together classmates to reconnect and reflect on the journey they have shared over the past decades.
The day began with a welcoming session, followed by engaging conversations with university’s management team. The alumni had a campus tour, visiting several key facilities across the campus, including the Faculty of Built Environment laboratories, BIM Centre, Construction Lab, Structural Analysis Lab, as well as the TAR UMT Arena. Witnessing the university’s growth and transformation over the years filled the returning alumni with a deep sense of pride and appreciation.
A special acknowledgment was given to Sr Lim Meng Heok, the coordinator of this reunion and a dedicated part-time lecturer who served TAR UMT for 42 years. His commitment to the university and its community truly reflects the enduring spirit of a TARCian.
The reunion was a heartfelt reminder that the friendships formed during student days can last a lifetime. TAR UMT always welcomes its alumni back to revisit the campus, reconnect with old friends, and celebrate the memories that began here.
